Graduate Studies in Education - Basic Education Teachers Training

The purpose of the Teacher Training course is to act as teachers of Child Education in the early years of primary education, strengthening the appreciation of general education. The course offers to the students a complete training within the ethical values and allows a more objective view of the world. The Teacher's role is, basically, to help students learn in all aspects, for example with the acquisition and development of knowledge, skills, habits, attitudes, values and ideas. 

Graduate Studies in Education - Biology's Teaching

The Biology course aims to promote higher education of teachers who will work in biology education in the context of basic education. Therefore, by choosing this course the student will be seeking training and qualification to work as a professor of biology, especially in primary and secondary schools. The course takes a multidisciplinary approach, with the aim of overcoming the fragmentation; therefore the contents are structured in an integrated manner, so that the knowledge is addressed with aspects of the biological sciences.

Graduate Studies in Education - Chemistry's Teaching

This course aims to train professionals capable of performing the duties of teaching in Primary and Secondary Education, perform researches in the field of chemistry in order to contribute to the education of future students. The professional area of chemistry has wide field of action: the training is geared for characterizing the materials and their processes as well as their relationship with the environment. As a professor one can devote himself to teaching. His field of work is open for research institutes and industrial activities in planning, research and development of chemical analysis as well as to act on environmental education projects, public agencies, NGOs, among others.

Graduate Studies in Education - English Language's Teaching

This course aims to enable students to broaden and deepen the research and teaching of English, through informed discussion, with emphasis on the pedagogical dimension of language. Vocational training complements the approach of the course. The course is also providing the experience of theoretical and practical issues related to the exercise of translation, given the need for capacity building and deepening the knowledge of English for work, studies, research and teaching.

Graduate Studies in Education - Mathematics Teaching

Mathematics is a science that uses the human abilities to reason and communicate. With proper thought and language, has been present in all the key advances of human knowledge. The aim of this course is to train teachers of Mathematics for Primary and Secondary Education with a broad and flexible curriculum to bring students knowledge in key areas of contemporary Mathematics (Logic, Algebra, Geometry and Analysis) Combined with a quality educational in other areas related to Mathematics such as Statistics and Computing. 

Graduate Studies in Education - Physical Education and Sport's Teaching

Physical Education is an area of knowledge that works the body from moving through a set of Physical activities, sports and recreational activities, aiming to promote the health of individuals. In addition to curricular practices, the course emphasizes the scientific initiation, supporting students to the production of scientific articles. 

Graduate Studies in Education - Physics Teaching

The Physics course extends from classical physics to modern physics, including quantum mechanics and relativity. The student learns both the structure of matter and applications of materials science in the areas of mechanics and electronics. It aims to give students a broad and balanced base of knowledge and skills in the specific area of expertise.

Graduate Studies in Education - Portuguese Language's Teaching

This course is intended primarily for the training of a professional who knows how to use the Portuguese language and its literature, in oral and written forms, as well as all its literary and cultural manifestations. It is primary function of such a professional to monitor the progress of society, allowing other citizens, through their guidance and with the development of their capacity to better use of the language and literature as a means of acquiring knowledge and means of expression.
